Events & Workshops
The Center for Gender Studies organizes conferences, symposia, workshops and seminars, speakers and film series and art events throughout the year. Each fall, the Center hosts the Distinguished Faculty Lecture featuring University of Chicago faculty doing innovative interdisciplinary work.
Ongoing activities of the Center include Brownbag Discussions featuring local faculty as well as artists and activists from the Chicago community; the Gender and Sexualities Workshop; and the Feminist Lives and Queer Trajectories Series.
New workshop for 2008!
Mary Anne Case, Professor of Law, has announced a new workshop at the Law
School on Regulating
Family, Sex and Gender. The workshop will meet irregularly on Thursday
afternoons in the Winter and Spring from 4:00 to 5:30 in Room B of the Law
School. Students may register to take credit, but all interested persons
are welcome to attend any sessions that interest them. You can find more
